This includes verifying relevant credentials and professional standing, assessing direct experience with the specialty or business question, and reviewing potential conflicts and institutional restrictions.

Where an assignment requires specialized clinical or technical assessment, an appropriately qualified reviewer evaluates the advisor’s fit.

We confirm scope, availability, compensation and required approvals before work begins. Qualifications and conflicts are reassessed when the assignment or relevant circumstances change.

Advisors are paid for agreed professional services, regardless of whether their findings favor the product. Compensation is separate from referrals, prescribing, purchasing, utilization and product sales.

Participation does not require an advisor to endorse, recommend or use a client’s product. Advisors retain responsibility for their professional opinions and remain free to identify limitations, disagree with the proposed approach or recommend against proceeding.

USHSG documents material recommendations and preserves disagreements when presenting findings. The client’s response and agreed next steps are recorded so the advisory work informs an accountable decision.

USHSG brings your recommendations to the client and documents the findings, including limitations and disagreements. Your name, affiliation or comments are used publicly only with your approval.

Rates reflect qualifications, time commitment and the assignment, with applicable fair-market-value review. Independent advisory work remains separate from sales and distribution.

Practitioners contribute while there is still an opportunity to change the product, strengthen the evidence and improve how it will be introduced into care.

Their role is paid, defined and connected to the project’s decisions. They help establish the questions worth asking, assess the proposed approach and identify what responsible use would require in practice. Their participation in innovation remains separate from their decisions about individual patient care.
